The force of the cable trying to turn in the clockwise direction will put clockwise pressure in a closing motion.

Sorry I didn't see the post earlier my wife had the comp and I had to wait to steal it back from her. My dad had the same problem when he got his. I have been an Ironworker and working with wire rope is part of the job.

Time to buy the wofe a laptop. That's what I had to do! :2cents:

I appreciate the input. Since I already applied the blue goo to these, I'll probably go with your suggestion whenever I have to open one up.
