Scope Mounts for PTR 91

I have looked at several mounts ranging from $30 to $155. any help around scope mounts for the HK variant would be appreciated.

The only one that I had that ever worked was a claw mount. Just Google

HK Claw mount. The start at 50.00 depending who makes it. B-Square makes

a good solid mount but is a pain to take on and off.

I have a PTR-91 F, but I have been too broke to get a mount.

I would really suggest signing up for the HKPRO forums (www.hkpro.com/forum/index.php). There are a LOT of knowledgeable folks over there.

Here's what I have picked up from over there:

Original mount was the claw mount that R1100R referred to. There are copies, but why not get the genuine thing if you can? This is a pretty good deal, but the finish ain't perfect. There are new/like new ones out there for more money.

Claw Mount & Adapter for Hensolt Scope

You can get a rail for it if you want:

G3 Picatinny Rail, Claw Mount, RTG Gun Parts

There are also some original claw mounts out there with integral rings, like #4 in the last picture here (scroll down all the way). The integral rings are 30mm, but you can get 1-inch inserts.

Then there are the lower mounts. MFI makes one:

And Brugger and Thomet makes this (the one I'm planning on getting), this, this, and this. DSA sells some of their stuff here.

Hope this helps. Avoid the cheap copies if you can. They might last, but they might not.

The B&T stuff looks good. PTR sells one but I like the looks of the B&T universal mount. Would try to use it with the iron sights but my eyes and that .308 round begs for a good optic.
