So I am stuck at work with my satellite TV not working due to the rain. Im sitting here reading archived articles on Tactical-Life.com bored out of my mind. While reading I am also contemplating either buying a Sig P238 or modifying my XD. This is really a tough choicel lol. Anyone else bored cause of the weather or bored at work?

Dang! Where do you work (if you can call it that:D)?

Are they hiring?

Oh...what XD mods are you looking at? Ignore the 238 urge!:D

LOL! I manage a collegiate apparel company. Im looking at;

Springer Precision Trigger Kit

Bar-Sto Barrel

and if I could find one for the 45 Compact a guide rod

When you find a replacement guide rod and spring(s) for the XD45c post it up. I would like to have a spare on hand as well.

Here is a replacement. I want a tungsten one for added weight on the end but it appears I am SOL.

Thanks.

I've been on Canyon Creek's site before. Probably have it bookmarked somewhere in the "guns" folder. I saved it directly to the XD45 folder for reference when I get funds to get that. Anyone gone with a lighter spring, say a 19 in their 45s?

Somewhat off-topic regarding the OP's gun, but what spring was that you recommend for replacing these plastic guide rods in the Glock?

Rightwinger,

the issue with the springs and why there are no aftermarket guiderod/springs for the service model is because no one has been able to make a spring that is lasting past 2k rounds.

Uh Oh!

Bronk, I got a Wolff spring and metal guide rod for the G22

I had a smith order the non captive guide rod and springs for the G30. He got them through Midway I think, maybe Brownell's.

Source?

A lot of aftermarket parts for XDs have been difficult to find because of the popularity.

I ended up waiting for a couple months for the stuff I order for one of my XDs awhile back.

I have never heard of any of the aftermarket stuff not lasting as long or being as durable as OM.
