It is simple really. Bush made lots of mistakes. So the Obamites can blame all troubles on fallout from that.

I am not going to research it but I have little doubt that this has happened in the past when new administrations come to power.

Anything they can do to put the blame on someone else, yanno?

A new administration can blame the previous... up to a point. The Democrats have controlled both chambers since '06 and Obama has been president for over a year now so as far as I'm concerned, the blame game is over. This is his economy. For what it's worth, I did see an article (forgot where) that went even further back and blamed everything on Reagan!

I believe the current admin mostly appeals to the ignorant masses who make no effort to know the real truth. I am also sure there are those who are informed but misguided who support him. At least those people make an educated effort at their decisions. But those are not the ones who elected the guy. He went over the top from skin color and wild promises.

Three Envelopes For Obama

A cold war joke, in case someone hasn't seen it--

In October of 1964, party insiders fed up with what they perceived as poor judgment by Soviet Premiere Nikita Kruschev in the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Chinese Cold War and an economic collapse, oust him from office. His replacement, Leonid Brezhnev, comes into the Kremlin for a final meeting with him before taking power. Kruschev picks up three sealed envelopes and says “My friend, when I found out my job here was over I sat down and wrote three letters. They are numbered one, two and three. I will put them in the top drawer of what will now be your desk.â€

“What are they for?†Brezhnev asks.

Kruschev smile wryly. “A day will come when you and the Motherland will be in grave trouble. And after you have exhausted all options and it appears nothing will save you I want you to open this first letter, do what it says, and you will be saved.â€

“And the second letter?†Brezhnev asks.

“The second crisis.†Kruschev says. “And so on.â€

Brezhnev thanks his predecessor, sits down at the desk and promptly forgets the whole exchange. But a few years later he finds himself embroiled in a deep crisis from which he can see no way out. Then he remembers the letters and opens the first one. It says:

“BLAME ME.â€

Brezhnev blames Kruschev and it works. The crisis passes.

A few more years go by and another crisis hits. This time Brezhnev is not worried because he knows he has two letters left. He opens the second. It says:

“BLAME AMERICA.â€

He blames America and it works. The crisis passes.

A few years after that a third crisis hits, but again Brezhnev’s not worried because he has one last letter. He opens it. It says:

“SIT DOWN AND WRITE THREE LETTERS…â€

I think the article was straight as an arrow, hitting

the target. The writer put it down so maybe someone

upon opening there eyes, will figure out everything

isn't Bush's fault.

Obama campained saying he knew what our problems were, and he was the man to fix them. If he just goes on blaming Bush, then he is saying either he was ignorant of what the issues really were and we shouldn't have voted him in, or he is not up for the job today, and should just step aside.

"Great men talk about ideas; Mediocre men talk about things; Small men talk about people." --- Admiral Hyman Rickover

Ah, Jimmy Carter's mentor...

Jimmy Carter - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Carter served on surface ships and on diesel-electric submarines in the Atlantic and Pacific fleets. As a junior officer, he completed qualification for command of a diesel-electric submarine. He applied for the US Navy's fledgling nuclear submarine program run by then Captain Hyman G. Rickover. Rickover's demands on his men and machines were legendary, and Carter later said that, next to his parents, Rickover had the greatest influence on him.

Another "great" president.

The sheep have opened their eyes and are seeing through Obumblers lies that got him elected. Before he got elected all he said was "I represent change". "But Obama what are you going to do to change things?" His reply was always "I represent change" and anybody that voted for him never bothered to ask how he was gonna do it. Now the rest of America is stuck with all the socalists in office doing as they please. Over a year in office and his only accomplishment is a health care bill nobody wanted and he had to bribe 14 elected officials to get passed. Pathetic track record for the first year by anybodies standards.

Still a great quote, regardless of who said it... or who "listened" to it.

I think I'm misunderstanding what you are trying to say with that quote. Is it that Hope and Change are grand ideas while the small men are people talking about Obama? Or Obama a small man for talking about Bush and there are no greats talking about ideas?

I'm confused as this guy.

I'm sorry, SUNTZU; I can see the confusion. The second thought of yours is where my head was.

Don't worry; as the "it's Bush's fault!" meme falters over time, more scapegoats will be trotted out. I fully expect Holder, and possibly Bernanke (not to mention Raymond Odierno, with Iraq "timelines" falling apart) to fall on their own swords before the end of the administration in 2012. They'll never make it to the presidential campaign - for reelection purposes, baggage will be cast off.

Until then, or the politcal landscape changes in such a way that firings are good for polling, the MFM and the perpetual campaign apparatus will continue their current behavior. Heads will roll only when events dictate that heads must roll.

Hillary is safe at State. Even Captain Wonderful doesn't want the possibility of a primary challenge.

the real problem started when all this outsourcing was allowed. that is what caused things to go south. it caused the housing collapse. though few want to admit it, because to many people have ownership inbusiness or other personal gains from these practices and they can only hope they aren't he next victim.

the last few presidents have done little if anything. and it will take alot to get it back on track.

till americans have there own jobs, unemployment will continue to be high.
