My wife will be carrying this in her purse and will need a holster that works well. Anyone have any suggestions?

Suggestion, don't carry it in her purse.

I agree that carrying the gun in the purse might be problematic. If someone is trying to rob a woman, they may grab her purse and run. Also if she is anything like my GF, she will leave her purse in the buggy at the grocery store and wander a few asiles away. Or if at work she may leave it at her desk, etc. Not the most accessable or secured way to carry.

Then again...if that is the only way she will carry it, it's better to have the gun in the purse than sitting by the bed at home.

I agree with both of those points. If she does get purse- snatched, now she has an armed aggressor to deal with.

I have one for my 642, and it's an excellent holster. I imagine a pocket holster would be the best option for purse carry.

I don't like the idea of purse carry either. I think whoever comes up with a good holster for a lady to wear on her body will be rich almost over night.

I'd think a Crossbreed type super tuck would work well for them but I'm guessing not many women want to buy a size 8 when they wear a size 6 just to conceal.

I love the Aholster pocket holster. I have one for me G26 and one for my LCP and that's what I would suggest for purse carry. While I love my G26, and I shoot it way more accurately than I do the LCP, I think it might be a little big heavy for a female to pocket carry. I'm actually not a big proponent of a .380, (please let's not go in to a caliber war) but the LCP on her person would be better than a G26 in her purse.
