Email to Corker about the Vitter Amendment

So, the Senate passed a financial reform bill. And they passed Bernie Sanders' amendment to audit the Fed. Great, right? Well, kind of. It does a "one-time audit just of Fed emergency programs." Better than nothing? Maybe.

Article: Right Now - Ron Paul slams Audit the Fed vote

The Vitter Amendment would have meant a full and ongoing audit. But both of our windbag Senators voted against it. Here's the email I sent to Bobby Corker.

Dear Bobby,

I see that you voted nay on the Vitter Amendment to the Audit the Fed bill. By doing so, you proved that you want Americans to remain in the dark and that you are no friend to any Tennessean.

I had hoped that you were just confused, but this vote proves that you know exactly what you are doing. Well, Bobby, at least now we know for certain that you stand against the people.

I hope you have a good gig lined up for 2013. Maybe you can go back to building stuff. And I hope that the republic is still around then. If it is, I'll do my best to make sure that you have no future in politics. If it's been destroyed by socioeconomic collapse, I guess you can take some comfort in knowing that you helped make it happen.

I know that I am going to receive some stupid form letter from your office. Go ahead and send it. If you want to make some attempt to explain why you betrayed your oath, you can call me.

Sincerely,

Drew

My email does contain an error; the bill itself is not about auditing the Federal Reserve. It was a financial reform bill. I admit it, I was furious when I was typing the email. I will send him another email correcting my error. Edited by oldsmobile98

Here's my follow-up email:

Dear Bobby,

In my previous email, I stated that the Vitter Amendment was to the Audit the Fed bill. In my anger, I messed up. The bill was a financial reform bill, S. 3217; its official title is the Restoring American Financial Stability Act of 2010.

I am still just as furious.

Sincerely,

Drew

This guy is a class act. Recently, I have sent him emails about auditing the Fed. He made it clear that he supports the secrecy the Fed operates under. I'm glad he supports WE THE PEOPLE.

It's time for him and Lamar to go.
