I picked up a LW compensated barrel for my G19. I didnt know it first round but you have to get them fitted prior to shooting. I locked up a round in the pipe first go. Then had to have more work on it a few months later geting it properly fit. If I had to do it all over again, I would not get an aftermarket barrel for my G19.

I have the LWD 10mm 6" and a .357 sig barrel for my G20. Neither had to be fitted. The 6" bbl gives me a little more for a "woods gun" and the .357 is just fun to shoot. I also have the option to add a 40 S&W and a 9x19 Dillon bbl if I so choose and I don't have to change mags. I always return to the OEM configuration for EDC. YMMV depending on which Glock you own.

If you have a 40 cal. Glock you can get a Lone Wolf conversion barrel in 9mm. Benefits:

Save $$ shooting 9mm

Versatility: you can shoot 2 cal. out of the same gun.

Sorry, wont work that easily. Several different parts to change out, plus it will void your warranty.

On the Glock 10mm barrel, id just get the factory Glock 6in hunting barrel... its the most accurate barrel weve tried in the g20... slips right in and no warranty problems either.

That's news to me. The LW 9mm barrel with G19 mag works great in my G23 with no modifications whatsoever.

That I do not dispute. :screwy:

its just a matter of time... weve talked about this before on here

And I hope you dont have any trouble but besides the mag the breachface, ejector, extractor, and guide rod are all different.

Some can work for a while and others stop immediatly... you probwbly wont notice it unless you start shooting steel case rounds like wolf... then youll start to see issues.

Is this the case with current OEM barrels?

I was about to do some cleaning, so I decided to check. I've never taken the time to compare them since the only reason I bought my LWD barrel was to shoot lead.

I cannot speak for other models / generations, but the barrel on the right is my 3rd generation G19 barrel. The one on the left is the LWD G19 barrel. Not even a millimeter of difference. But if I recall correctly, the .40 cal models were the ones with the least chamber support. Maybe someone else can chime in on this.

FWIW, the chamber seemed tighter on the LWD barrel when I tried to move the round around in the barrels.

What about the LW barrels that are not conversions? I have a regular LW .40 barrel that I put in my G27. Is that alright?

Thanks for checking on this for 9mm.

Yah, my G22 chews through some 9mm like candy, never had a single issue.

Though I've had zero issues, I'd NOT rely on it as a SD tool unless there were no other options.
