I talked with someone from Remington last week, the pistols Frame and Slide are forged steel, made in America no parts are imported and it is assembled in America. This is one heck of a good deal on a 1911 folks!

Well that’s good news for two groups.

Those that only buy American will have a low cost 1911 available to them. And those that don’t care where their 1911 is made they just want it to be cheap will see the prices of the Philippines made guns drop.

I’m really curious to see an impartial test of this weapon. I would buy one just to do that if I could get one at the price Buds was selling them at.

EDIT: I’m not impartial though. :D

It's just sad that so many 1911 manufacturers feel the need to use the slide as their own personal billboard. Huge roll marks, FTL. :usa:

I didnt think the rollmarks are that bad...i have seen much larger....plus I would say in the case of the Remington most people are all too eager to show off the maker of their firearm....but to each their own.

That's what T-shirts are for.

First, we whine because 1911's made in America are expensive.

Then, we whine because the foreign ones are affordable, why can't an American builder do that.

Then, we finally get an American built 1911, at the price we've been looking for...

... and we still find something to whine about. :D

The Roll marks on this one are not a show stopper for me, but the Desert Eagle 1911 on the other those are some obscene roll marks and I will not buy one for that reason

Oh, I thought that was "billboarding". Anyway, I get it now.

I agree with the earlier post. When people get exactly what they want they still whine about it. Most of us are the same way, like it or not.
