+1000 I would be quite the hypocrite if I were to say I was against responsible and legal immagration My Great Great Grandparents immagrated to the United States from Prussia just before WW1. In doing so they accepted the fact that they were leaving behind not only customs and beliefs but even family with whom we were soon to be at war with. My family not only pledged their loyalty to the United States but fought for their new home in both WW1 and WW2.

I have no problem with welcoming immagrants into our country if they would only embrace our customs, values and language as those who sailed past Elllis Island so gratefully did in the past.

I do have a problem with those who not only come into our country illegally, but also those who follow the rules and laws until legal and then start demanding that we conform to their way of life. Please don't misunderstand me, legal immagrants should be able to embrace their heritage, but they should be able to embrace it comfortably without forcing it upon those of us who were here before them

The United States has been called the "melting pot" for good reason and the fact that we have provided a home to so many nationalities IMO is why we have such a strong wonderful country, however now more than ever, including when my family came over, there should be one rule
