-29. But if I'd taken this test a few years ago before I met Mrs. Stegall the score would be much different. The "Sundry Habits" section alone would have put me in + double digits.

I think a lot of people are misreading this.

here are the rules again:

(Negative score) A minus score indicates that the criminal would be in danger FROM YOU. The greater the negative score...the greater the danger.

(0 to 50) This score shows a low risk of assault. You are either highly cautious or a poor target. You should not be foolishly overconfident however. Keep up the precautions and take the test again next month and don't fudge on your points.

(51 to 80) This shows that you have a moderate risk of robbery or assault. It would be a good idea to be more cautious and cut out visiting an ATM machine at night. Take a self defense or executive security course. Don't carry so many charge cards.

(More than 80) It would be a good idea to make out a will. Put your portable valuables in a safe deposit box. Think twice before you go nightclubbing or driving. You are obviously having a fun life but to make it through another year it would be advisable to take up jogging, martial arts, firearms and carry a police officer with you when you go out. Carry some cash (25 to 50 dollars) and fewer credit cards.

-1 is the best score, followed by -2, -3, -4 -5,-6,-7, etc.

In negatives numbers the greater negative number is actually the lower number with the minus in front. For example:

-5 > -10

-24<-6

I got a -30.

Friends of mine consider me a bit more cautious than most. I even carry a gun to the mailbox or if I sit outside on my porch. I do this mostly because of the escalation of events in the last 6-9 months that have placed my family and I in danger. The danger still exists but I am trying to be as prepared as possible.

A little idea of what I am talking about. Back in the first part of October I had SWAT members in the creek in front of our house guarding my house from my brother. My brother had stated he was going to kill us. He had left our parents house with a loaded AK in a rampage after assaulting our mother over drug money. After he assaulted our mother he had a minor standoff with police but all charges were later dropped because of my mother lying for him and the charging officer not being present when he appeared before the judge. My brother is a HEAVY drug user (meth, crack, MJ, oxy) and drinker. He became enraged and assaulted our mother when she refused to give him more money for his drugs. She has even racked up $50K of debt on his drugs because he threatens to kill himself if she doesn't give him money. Personally I think he has threatened her as well but she said he didn't.

He hates my family and I because we told him no more cash. We went on to tell him that if he needed something we would buy it for him, gas, food, etc. He did not like the fact he couldn't get his $30-$50 a week anymore and has refused to talk to us after that. He has said things implying he is jealous of the fact we live better than him. He has even went as far as saying we owe him because we make more money than him and that we should share our money. I have always tried to be fiscally responsible and because of this I have no bills other than a mortgage and car payment. And as such I am able to buy "toys" my brother can't.

Before all of this happened my father called me saying my brother had a shotgun and wouldn't let him leave. I contected LE to try to get things resolved. Afterwards I told my father he was crazy for letting my brother do the things he does. I told him that neither of us need anymore of the stuff my brother was doing and that I would call the cops the next time something happened. My father told me that the cops don't need to be involved and if I brought them to his house he would "take care of me", implying he would kill me. I later found out my father may have been involved in something illegal as well. That was the last time my father and I have talked. It was brought on by the fact that my father called me saying my brother had a shotgun and wouldn't let him leave.

So I am a bit more cautious than most because I have a brother who has had intentions on more than one occasion to harm my family and I. This on top of the fact my father, who has had the cops at his house, has threatened to harm me if they ever did show up. There is a lot more than this that has gone on but I am not going to get into anymore of it.

I am just trying to recover the best I can or at least try to live a normal life after my helicopter accident in a third world **** hole in 2008. Life for my family and I is hard enough as it is without the additional problems they seem to like to burden us with as well.

I don't need to take the test. My risk of serious assault (well, with a firearm at least) is zero. I live in a gun-free zone.

We need to fix the part about non-firearm assaults, though. I just declared Vanderbilt University to be an assault-free zone. I will put up some signs around campus tomorrow to make sure everyone knows.

-19. We live out in the country and just this evening our power was out for a couple of hours and I went armed while getting my generator going so we could at least watch Fox. If you knock on my door after dark I will meet you and I will be armed.

If 50 is bad, then -50 has to be good, since there's 100 points in between them.
