39-17-1352. Suspension or revocation of license

(6) Has violated any other provision of §§ 39-17-1351 — 39-17-1360;

--------

1351 of course, includes DUI provision.

So I'd say that HCP will be gone for 5 years, unless the court fails to report it or something. 'Course, it would show on HCP renewal when they do another check.

Incidentally, you also lose HCP for any class A misdemenor for duration of sentence which includes probation. DUI is Class A 'meanor, but doesn't much matter in this case.

Nice Linkage OhShoot, they all work too!!

Any person appropriately licensed by the federal government may stock and sell firearms to persons desiring firearms; however, sales to persons who have been convicted of the offense of stalking, as prohibited by § 39-17-315, who are addicted to alcohol,.........yada yada and so forth if you are such and or did this you cant have no guns....addicted to alcohol......so if you get a DUI then your an addict in the eyes of the court???

Just the fact that a DUI stays with you the rest of your life is enough to keep me from drinking and driving.

I get nervous when I have ICB root beer in the car. That bottle looks real from a distance.

really? its the killing people thing that keeps me from doing it.

then again. i just dont drink. just as i feel responsible for my own defense, i feel responsible for everything i do. drinking is no excuse for doing anything dumb... and drunk ppl do dumb things. really i just dont like not being in complete control (and dont tell me you are when ur drunk... i know better. i have been there)

I was really starting to think I was the only one who thought this way! Don't tell my fiancée, but I think I love you... :cry:

What? Too soon? :koolaid:

Considering the fact that DaddyO said

"Just the fact that a DUI stays with you the rest of your life is enough to keep me from drinking and driving"

implies (to me anyway) that he meant that having a DUI follow you around your entire life is bad enough to prevent him from doing it, not to mention the other possible outcomes that are much worse. I don't think for a minute that he meant that getting a charge is the only reason he wouldn't do it.

Or maybe I'm reasong too much into your response, friesepferd. Hope so. :rolleyes:

No. People do dumb things. Some simply try to use being drunk as an excuse. Alchohol might lessen your inhibitions but it won't "make" you do anything you didn't want to do, anyway. You are still 100% in control of (and responsible for) your actions. At least that has been my experience.
