So without a doubt Mayo is king

Which brand do you prefer?

Even though it is not mayo I will include Miracle Whip in the poll.

I love mayonnaise in all its glorious brands. I grew up on Miracle Whip, but its hard to best Mayo.

Dukes. And I call for the disqualification of Miracle Whip. I hate it when someone tries to slip me Miracle Whip as mayo. Save the Miracle Whip for your Waldorf salad.

Mike, since you're proficient in creating polls, I don't think I've seen one for "Coke or Pepsi".

I think we had our chance with the "pick one beverage for all time" poll.

Coke vs. Pepsi doesn't matter to me. It's the care and preparation that's put into serving that matters more, to me.

no point in that. it would be Coke no doubt. Maybe some of you hillljacks will make a woeful case for Royal Crown ;).

but I prefer diet drinks and then it would be Diet Pepsi

I could care less about the brand, as long as it is real mayo. Kroger brand works fine for me. But so help me... if you try to put that nasty miracle whip crap on my burger...;)

Dukes.

If there's any question, then you simply have no taste.

tru dat. I was a Hellmans guy all the way until OS brought some Dukes to our house. Now there is no going back.

It tastes oily.

Hellman's is the most palatable.

I say Hellman's, but I haven't seen Dukes. I'll try to find some. Actually homemade is best, but it doesn't stay long in the fridge.

For shame, for shame.

Everyone knows Miracle Puke is salad dressing, NOT mayonaise.

A chemist's conception of mayo at best.

The bane of all mayo lovers in the South and Mid-West.

To even include it on this list is heresey and you shall forthwith be condemed to consume large quantities of Kahn's bologna and generic "american" cheese sandwich's on Save Mor white bread with the crust removed.

Leave this place, heretic! ;)

How much better is home made mayo? I've been thinking of trying to make some but I've been wondering if the taste is worth the effort. You put any special spices in?

Dukes is too thin. Really sucks for making things like chicken salad. It's good when just spread on the bread for a sammich though. Kraft's will do in a pinch, but Hellman's wins out for me. I buy the big giant jar at Sam's so I don't run out. Hellman's is known as Best Foods west of the Mississippi.
