Teflon Moly vs Cerami-cote

I have been thinking of spending a little money on my Sig 229. It's in pretty good shape but because I like it so much and it seems to be the only gun that I won't sell or trade; I thought I might spruce it up a little.

I had been thinking about having it done in a battleship grey Cerami-cote finish but a Smith I have been talking to highly recomends the Teflon Moly Coating and quoted doing the pistol for 150.00. Anyone have any thoughts on which of the two finishes is better and if this is a good price ???

Check out CCR Refinishing. I emailed them last week for a price quote. They have a good website that explains the different finishes.

Yes, CCR all the way. They do a great job, had a M&P 40c redone in a "stainless" look and it's great.

Got a 96FS sitting on my desk that's going to them next week.

Thanks guys. Bluemax I would be happy to answer any questions that you may have about refinishing.

I have to agree with your smith Moly Resin from Norells is better then Cerakote which is nothing more then a DIY Epoxy paint like duracoat
