Held the sr9c and the sr9. I chose the Sigma over the sr9 because it just felt better in the hand and the rebate was a bonus. The sr9c feels pretty good but at the same price point is the XD so I'm back and forth there. Of all of them the m&p feels the best but is a bit more expensive.

IMO S&W's CS is top notch. It's American too. I don't think you'd be sorry at all.

Check out the CZ P07 if you haven't already. I dunno if there's an Academy near you, but they started stocking them. ~400, 16+1 9mm capacity, lightweight, ergonomic (especially with medium sized hands) and deadly accurate. First run had some teething issues, but I hear they've ironed it all out now. They're set up to shoot +p+ loads from the factory as well.

Otherwise, Glock 19 or M&P 9mm. I like the M&P because it shoots better for me, but the Glock has a handier grip size and an ironclad rep.

S&W M&P 9c is the obvious choice. Get APEX upgrades like the Striker Block and Sear and it's probably the best striker fired trigger i've felt.

Glocks are good guns, but dated.

In all honesty isn't this a Sigma with front night sights, front slide serrations and a couple cosmetic changes? Price point is about 40 bucks above what they have my Sigma at (I have the Allied Forces edition). If this is the case then perhaps the bad rep the Sigmas were getting even after the bugs were worked out got to S&W execs and they opted for a new line. Dont get me wrong, my Sigma is flawless mechanically. I just cannot get used to the triggerand thats a personal thing but I am giving it a bit more time. If this is a cosmeticly tweaked Sigma then isnt that like putting a pig in a dress and naming it Sally? I mean, its still a pig right?

After a bunch more research I am going to go for the sr9c. Still american made and still a quality and durable handgun. I really do not think that the m&p has it all over the sr9c enough to justify spending the extra money.
