They're not cheap rifles at all. I would try to get it as cheap as I could. But it probably won't be real cheap. If you could get it for $300 or less, it would be a real bargain.

Yeah, sure would.

Maybe fair for .30-30, one sold on here for under $300 recently.

But .357 is much rarer.

GunBroker completed auctions serch shows $625-825.

And glancing, looks like most of the $600 range didn't meet reserve price so didn't sell.

Heck, I paid $425. for my Marlin 1894 cb in .357 mag. Used, and in very good shape w/ 2 boxes of 158 gr. Hollowpoint ammo.

I thought I got a good deal.

If it's 95% or better...I'd probably go $450. on the Winny, in .357 mag.

Let me know if you don't take it, Greg.

Gregintenn, I guess I had my head somewhere..........

I quoted a little cheap huh. If you can get it for $400

it would be good maybe. They are kinda rare. The Marlin

1894 carbines are rare too. I've never seen many of

either one.

Yeah, the .357 Marlin is always in demand. I finally walked into the right WalMart at the right time about 9 months ago, $485 brand new (the standard blued version). See them much higher on Gun Broker, though, again, just because there's never enough around to satisfy demand. The .30-30 in A or W config (cheaper wood stock) is usually about $350. You can usually find a .44 model too, about the same price as the .357 but generally available.

Again, do a search for Winchester 94 .357 on GB in completed auctions and you'll see most sold in the $700-800 range, is all I know about them.

I p/u a '94 30-30 last week. If you want to put a few rounds through it for dooky and smiles, pm me. You know where I am.

If you do buy it, I usually have .357 on hand. Hint, hint.
