Not by floods, MUDSLIDES!

Left for work at 5 this AM, got around the small bend and was stopped by a big part of the hill in the road.

Walked about 3/4 mi. farther and found another one blocking the road.

County doesn't know when they can get to it, so I guess the neighbors and I will start digging later.

Unless you know what the hell you are doing I'd stay away from digging around mudslides. Its a good way to entomb your ass with your own shovel.

+1. We have a mudslide that dumped some trees across a private road on our property in Brentwood. Waiting for the pros.

I'm near Defeated, overlooking Cordell Hull Lake.

As for digging out, It's o.k. I know about saturation, angle of repose, and such. I'm NOT from the barrios of Rio.

I did get about 9 ft. moved, then I started getting into larger rocks. Time for a loader. Just waiting on the County now.

Glad you're okay. Adult beverages and extended weekend for the win.
