I built a table.

edit: i mean I built a table, and sorry for pic size i don't know about all that.

Found a lot of pieces of driftwood at out Centerhill Lake

started my first construction project on them...

need to find a good stain for the top.

any constructive help would be great. I tried a clear(ish) coat on them to match all the #2 pine i used to build the cabin out there, but I think it looks awful with the driftwood color.

hey i hope this works

also, it looks a bit uneven from the picture, but i trimmed it up and it sits perfectly even, im going to rough up the bottom and cut some felt to fit so it is safe for the hardwood floor, not that my floor is that nice to begin with, but you get the idea.

thanks, i will post a few of the other projects, i found a nice piece of wood that is 7 or 8 feet long and about 1.5 foot diameter that is complete mineralization the thing feels like stone, unfortunately it is heavy as stone.

when i can find a way to get it out of the little cove it is in I want to cut it in half and make a shelf out of the thing, but that is a big project...

i will post a few of the new ones as they come along, I did find some nicer small pieces that I have some plans for.

You did good John.

FWIW...Behr makes a grey stain that would go good with that driftwood color, if your trying to match it.

I agree with the darker stain, either gray, black, or dark brown. The two tones would compliment each other well.

Awesome work BTW!

That's a beautiful table. Do you sell stuff like that? I think it would look great with the top closer matching the base. might be hard to do, though.
