I've read Mein Kampf and the Communist Manifesto. Good thing I'm not President or we'd be doomed.

We were supposed to read that book for one of my classes! I read part of it, but haven't finished it.

I wouldn't blame him for reading it. It's not an anti-American book, from what I remember. I don't agree with some of the stuff in it, but it does make a lot of hard-hitting points. Talks about the rise of the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China) and how are we losing our superpower status. They are ramping up manufacturing, while we're propping up banks, AIG, and GM with money we don't have. I believe that during my lifetime, the world will pay less and less attention to our nation...UNLESS we get our government to stop messing around. Entrepreneurs drive the economy. If you harass them too much with legalities and tax complications, they WILL leave. Our loss... but it doesn't have to be.

Sorry for ranting all over everybody. Here's the link to the book.

Fareed Zakaria.

Actually, pretty interesting guy, hard to categorize, really.

He's pretty sharp, used to hear him on PBS, now has regular show on CNN, where he puts foreign leaders' feet to the fire pretty well at times.

Not a fan of Obama, but its good to see that someone, obviously not the OP, knows what the damn book is actually about.

and it was written by a fellow Muslim.

I didn't know you were a Muslim!

This book is anything but anti-American.

It's actually on my list of books to read.

The synopsis:

From the Publisher

“This is not a book about the decline of America, but rather about the rise of everyone else.†So begins Fareed Zakaria’s blockbusting bestseller on the United States in the twenty-first century. How can Americans understand this rapidly changing international climate, and how might the nation continue to thrive in a truly global era? Zakaria answers these questions with his customary lucidity, insight, and imagination.

On the Muslim thing....what does that matter?

The guy is from India, FWIW...

Right.

Where the majority of the population are Hindu. Not Muslim.

Explain.

The whole, "Let's attack our President regardless of what's true or the facts."

The OP posted this picture without knowing anything about the book. Also made far reaching assumptions about why our President is reading the book. The author of the book has a PhD from Harvard and his Bachelor's from Yale for Christ's sake.

Now you have gone and taken away a reason for them to conspire. The book had to be about a secret Muslim plan to destroy America. Why else would he be reading it? God forbid he have an idea about what's happening outside of our borders.

WHOA.

That is some fuzzy math right there.

1/3 +1/5 +1/8+1/8 ... plus 7%... equals 85.3333 %.

And the 1/8 Hindu are 9 times as multitudinous as the 1/8 non-religious.

There's more, but I'll let it be. ;)
