You're right. he hates white folks. All Muslims do. But wait, Nazis don't hate white folks. How could he be a Muslim AND a Nazi? I'm so confused.

You really don't get what I am saying, do you? I'm saying that there was no need to specifically mention any group other than American voters. Race, age, gender, etc. did not need to be mentioned. By choosing to mention those things (stupid move #1) and by then mentioning some and omitting others (stupid move #2), he opened himself to criticism.

I don't know that he 'hates' white folks. I only know that he specifically didn't include them in the cherry-picked groups he wants to have voting. I also don't know that he is a Muslim, a Nazi or whatever else. I do know that, in my opinion, he is is a slimy, scumbag of a politician for whom I have lost what little respect I may once have had.

In a non-christian nation no less. Talk about not appealing to the masses :(

Yep, he claims to be christian. I don't know if he really is or not. Don't really care either. I care what he does to the country.

So do I

Right, someone needs to remind Obama.

I don't think you're getting me. I was talking about the freedom of religion/seperation of church and state thing. England had the Church of England.

The US is predominately christain, and christians were almost exclusively involved in forming the country. But, to call it a christian nation is kinda the same mentality as saying white folks get to own everything.

We have citizens that belong to every major religion on the planet, a large crop of athiests, and the folks on the west coast acutually made some new ones up :-).

Here's my prediction... He's gonna screw some stuff up, he's gonna do some good stuff, and the checks and balances will keep it all between the ditches. DC will continue to be a cesspool, because big money will continue to run the show, no matter who we put in office.

The good news for me is that I don't waste any time listening to my company's products. So, when they're telling everybody to go like this :death::panic::eek: , I don't.

I hope the checks and balances do that because I doubt

he'll do anything good for the country. But just so you

know, I'll be among the first to acknowledge it if he

does. He hasn't done anything good, yet. Maybe.

I know you will.

There are too many filters in our way. Everything is distorted. I try to listen as much as possible, but I'm getting real frustrated.

I do try to listen to, and understand everything that comes out of Obama's mouth. It's not a fanboy thing. I use it to judge media distortion.

come on and stick it to the white man vote for me an educated black man, oh wait my mom was white...... never mind.

This oughta be good... Please tell me how he is sticking it to the white man. Following the Constitution doesn't count. he didn't write it.

If it's okay with you, I'll defer with his ethnicity. It has very little to do

with what the man is doing to the country. He was raised by marxists, believes in marxism and is heading this country toward marxism by his policies and those in leadership in his party affiliation. Almost every time the republicans oppose a bill they/we/I are called racists. I am not a racist and resent the heck out of being accused one. I'm not going to give them the pleasure of even thinking they are right.

If you wish to fight them, it would probably be better to fight them in the arena of ideas. There is a better chance of winning someday. I would rather be miserable in a capitalist, freedom based society than enslaved in a marxist/ socialist based one, any time. I think that's the good fight. Hope you do, too :wall:

Ah, the voice of reason (again). There's plenty of meat to the debate. Nothing good comes from getting hung up on BS.

I guess what I have been getting at is that when a leader - especially a President - singles out some groups based on race, etc. and leaves out others, I see it as devisive. Obama ran on claims of 'hope' and 'change' and talks about cooperation and non-bipartisanship then tries to use the same, old racial divisions for his own, politically expedient purposes. People who oppose him for reasons that have nothing to do with his race are called, "Rascist," simply because they disagree with him and it allows his sycophants to dismiss the real, rational arguments of those who don't support his theories - yet he turns right around and brings race into the mix, himself. To me, this goes beyond one speech and speaks directly to the character of the man - or, rather, his lack thereof. Speeches such as this do not 'empower' the so-called 'minorities', they simply keep the pot of racial tensions stirred in order to use such tensions for the gain of the person making the speech. That is why this bothers me, not because I feel 'left out' or so on. That is why I see it as much more serious than a simple, perceived slight to a particular group of Americans. That is also why I say that the POTUS - any POTUS - should appeal to all American voters to make their voices heard at the polls and not be devisive by calling out a few groups simply because he thinks his party will get more votes from those groups. Campaigning is all well and good when a candidate is running for office but once one ceases to be a candidate and actually becomes POTUS that crap needs to be checked at the door. I'd say the same if this incident involved a lily-white POTUS calling on caucasians to get out and vote.

Agreed. Problem is, he's still campaigning. That's the full extent of his skills. That and dividing and destroying the country. Division and creating envy is how the devil destroys as well. It takes the focus off of him and puts it on 'the other guy'. Make the grass greener on the other side and people will fight each other for the supposedly greener grass while the instigator gets off scott free.

Maybe it's time for Obammy to sit down and have another beer with someone? Oh, wait! I just heard that his pal and buddy mad Machmoud is coming to the U.S. Maybe they can hang out.

They're all still campaigning, and they're all dividing, and we're all sucked into it.

It's time for everybody to sit down and have a beer.
