NRA - Support Our Troops program

For a few months now, the NRA has had a program underway in which active duty members of the military can sign up for a free NRA membership. If you, or someone you know, is on active duty and would like to participate in this program, please go to http://www.nra.org/supportourtroops.

If you would like to participate in that program by underwriting part of the cost with a donation, please go to https://membership.nrahq.org/forms/donate.asp?CampaignID=SupportTroops.

Excellent question, sir, and think I saw in a recruiting video that that question is the second most common question asked by members. The first is, "Hey, I didn't get a hat when I signed up...........how do I get my hat?"...........

Anyway, from https://www.nramemberservices.org/faq.asp, there is this Q&A:

Q: How can I reduce the amount of mail I receive from the NRA?

A: Simply email us at membership@nrahq.org or dial 800-NRA-3888 and request to be placed on the "Do Not Promote" list. This will significantly reduce the amount of mail you receive without affecting important mailings, magazine service, or your membership renewal.

I saw this program a week or so ago, and signed up under it. I had been planning on getting an NRA membership for the wife and I, but this definitely made it easier on the pocket book to do so.

Once this runs out, I'll be signing up for the lifetime membership... but major kudos to the NRA for estabishing this program for the soldiers!

Update... I received my membership card, window decals, and information packet in the mail today... from signing up under this program.
