Dowdle Sports Cordova

Has anyone used a gunsmith at Dowdle Sports in Cordova? I have heard he is the best one in the Memphis area, but takes quite a bit of time. Is it common for him to take four months to work on a firearm? I am having a trigger job on a hunting rifle, clean/disassembly, and smoothing out the action.

Any information is appreciated (yes my gun is still sitting there after quite some time).

Razorback2003,

I used them in 2003 to install night sights on my Sig. I asked for a quick turnaround, since it is my carry weapon, and he said they try to turnaround carry weapons pretty quickly anyway.

Now, what I've just said doesn't help you at all and is of no or little consolation.

However, I've always heard good things about that shop, they were reasonably priced, and the work was *very* good.

My two cents worth, which you didn't ask for, is to stop by or call. You are the customer, and it doesn't hurt to ask, or even prompt them a little.

Hope this helps.
