Hey guys. Which leather choice (between cowhide black and horsehide natural) have yall found to be better or more comfortable on the Crossbreed Supertucks? I tend to sweat alot during the hotter days, but I wear a undershirt 90% of the time. I've searched a good bit and can't seem to find much debate between the two leathers, but it seems that most people get the horsehide. All help is appreciated!

I have Crossbreeds in both type leathers.I like the cowhide more because it seems to be a little more flexible which makes it more comfortable.I have no doubt though that the horsehide will hold up better in the humid climate. The horsehide has been a bugger to break in,its a lot stiffer.

I went with the horsehide when I bought my crossbreed, and really like it. I never had issues with it being too stiff or needing to be broken in - after the first day it had formed itself nicely and was very comfortable.

I have since made some 'knock-off' copies for some of my other guns (which is surprisingly easy to do by the way) with cowhide, and find that I like the stiffer horsehide better.

I also have the horsehide because I sweat a lot. It's pretty stiff and seems more so than other cowhide holsters I've seen, but that's not really a bad thing. It forms to the contour around my waist just fine.

Only wear my Crossbreed around the house. Sweated in it a few times so far. Cowhide is still forming to me. Doesn't smell "new" anymore. I can see how a few months of hot humid weather might leave my wonderful holster smelling like my work shoes. Great question fourspdrat. I'm still fiddling with the heigth of the pistol compared to my belt. Trying to balance accesibility and comfort. To answer the question after 50 hours of wearing my Crossbreed, I have no complaints concerning the cowhide version. However I plan on ordering a horsehide version for the upcoming summer when I will hopefully be carrying everywhere the law allows in our beautiful state. FWIW I will also adjust this holster "lower" to aid in concealability. No way I'm wearing a cover garment when a G26 will hide printless.

Thanks for the insight, guys! I didn't know it, but my father recently bought a cowhide Supertuck for his G26, so I'll try that one on and see how it feels. :D

I have the horsehide supertuck for my .45. I have been really happy with it and am planning on another for my .380. Sweat has not been an issue because I wear an undershirt all the time but I was told that the horsehide will hold up better under humid conditions.

Just received my crossbreed super tuck cowhide holster. It is very comfortable and conceals my glock 23 well. First learned about crossbreed on this web site. The good reports from owners, led me to buy one. The info gained on this site is great.
