Smith & Wesson Addiction

I was close, really close. I almost bought a M&P9c. Here is part of my story:

I had 4006 for winter concealed carry. A little heavy. Got bored with it-put it in the safe.

I got a 5904. Got bored with it-put it in the safe.

I got a 6906. Got bored with it-put it in the safe.

I got a 4053TSW. Got bored with it-put it in the safe.

I got a 3914. Decided I wanted a DAO/Got bored with it-put it in the safe.

I got a 3953. Wanted something slightly smaller. Started shopping for a CS9. Could not find one. Looked for a year.

Started shopping for a M&P9c. Handled one a few times. Was trying to decide on with or without thumb safety.

A kind forum member pointed me to a CS9D on Gunbroker. It will be here in a couple of days. Hopefully, this will put my urge to buy some plastic into remission for a few months at least.

Here are some pictures of my addiction treatments along the way.

Excuse me, but is there some part of "Don't Touch the Bear" that you do not understand?

I think we found the "Iron Pipeline".

OK, I'm just stupid enough to ask (jackdm3). What is an "Iron Pipeline?". Bye the way, just returned from a visit to Memphis on Wednesday. The Law Enforcement presence on Beale Street was, shall we say, Overwhelming.

I put my wallet in my front pocket and kept my back to a wall.

The Pipeline is an imaginary flow of cheap guns from Canada to Mexico that flows partially through TN.

Beale? I never go there anymore with the wanding in effect. Nothing for me there, anyway, except a rare concert at the Daisy.

Interstate 95 in New Jersey is nicknamed the “Iron Pipeline” because it is a popular route for criminals smuggling firearms from the South.

“Operation Iron Pipeline” is an anti-gun initiative named for the nickname for Interstate 95.

This pic (and caption) are soooo great!

Not to mention the rest of your incredible SW collection.

This wasn't nearly as obscure as some transmissions from Planet Jack (© P. Stegall).

Iron Pipeline - Defined

"Not quite a physical route, this is the practice of people buying guns in the South and the West (where laws regarding gun purchase are less restricted) and selling them in the Northeast, where gun laws are more restrictive."

EDIT: Ah, I see Jack has mis-defined his own reference. Perfect!

Hold down the "Alt" key and then press the numbers 0 1 6 9.

(using the number pad, not the top keyboard row)

Windows, can use Character Map, which gives you all the special characters you can copy/paste, and/or tells you keystrokes to make them

straight from Planet Jack©

:rolleyes::D:D

Extra points: make it a superscript, and I'll really be impressed, 'cause I can't get HTML tags to work here, and don't even know why the tag is an option in the vBulletin editor.

Apologies to Ernest T. for derailment, I'm done.

Very nice handguns!

Got bored with it-put it in the safe.

I can solve the boredom problem. I want you to lead a vibrant and fulfilling life. Send those sidearms on over heah; I can tell they are holding you back.

That collection is awesome!! The kids are so cute... and apparently well trained, I see fingers out of the trigger guards. Good job.

I have been tempted.. a time or two.. to let it go.. but can't seem to do it.. it really is sweet!

Your children are lovely and your collection is impressive. But seeing the children holding the pistols made me uncomfortable. I'm confident that you are providing them with proper firearm safety training and that they will grow-up to be confident, competent and responsible users of firearms.

So James Franklin.. no chiding you in any way.. but I have to wonder.. where do you think it should start? Children and firearms safety.. The sooner that you kill the curiosity and allow the to at least touch them.. and get them to understand.. the less likely you will have problems in the future..

Looks to me as if he has already started......notice the indexing?
