Here is the before shot of my Plain Jane 10/22 Carbine:

And here are the pictures of it so far:

It has a free-to-me ATI Strikeforce 6-position folding stock, a free-to-me Remington 4-12x40 scope, borrowed Vertical Foregrip, and an Ebay special 5 dollar used NCStar Laser with Pic/Weaver rail mount. I also performed a DIY trigger job that reduced the trigger pull from ~8-8.5lbs down to ~2.5-3lbs. I did the Auto Bolt Release mod, and added a $3 extended mag release.

The rifle was $185 OTD, for a total $193 sunk into this baby.

I still want to add a bi-pod and get my own VFG.

BTW, anyone have a VFG they want to get rid of? PM me.

Call me dense, but that comment didn't clear anything up for me.

Pat, it makes zero difference to me that anybody here thinks I'm "weird" (from those at the bottom to the mods on top, some of which are plain zany). You once said, "I don't see ammo or precious metals as an investment as much as insurance" but then you say "Ammo's an excellent investment and will always have barter value." Some would say that's "weird." Which one is it?

A lot of us like to cut up around here. From David to all of his Mods, they have fun with TGO and that's why most of us come here. Some don't like to have fun at all. The past 5 pages of your post history show you take it all seriously. It takes all kinds, as an admin told me when I got super-goofy. I don't have any enemies with Memphis TGO'ers, and you aren't going to be the first.

To clarify my post:

"It was dull, now it looks sharp, dude! Good going!"

Forgot to quote it. Wouldn't want to let it get away. It's a good one for all others to add to.

It's almost like saying someone is "Stellar", but we KNOW it wasn't meant this way this time.

From another thread.. Jack is in the midst of the Mother of All Liquor Tests this weekend. We need to excuse him until the test is completed ;)

i dunno, I prefer the original look. But that's me, no one has called me weird yet.

I like the look of wood, but replaced my 10-22 carbine stock with a Hogue.. Also did a hammer kit, mag release, and bolt release with Vq parts.

I like it. There is just so much you can do to a 10/22 the options are endless. I went a different direction with mine because I wanted something with a little flash.

Very nice. I was torn between going with a Superstock look, where the gun looks stock, but isn't, Or going this direction. The free stock prompted me to go this way. Plus I love the functionality of the stock and just the overall looks of the tactical style. I am usually not that big into over the top tactical, I am more utilitarian.
