If he meant to do that then that was a pretty good shot, but I wouldn't think that it was legal. For me personally though I've always been taught to pay attention not only to my target, but what is beyond my target as well.

As long he has tags hes good. My brother shot 3 during muzzleloader Season year before last in the same day within an hour of each other and took all of em at the same time to the check station . No problems at all . 1 buck 2 does Shot the 1st one and reloaded walked to the deer ,and another one came up while he was standing over the 1st one.Dropped it then after gutting both of them another doe walked up on him and he took her too. My brother hunts to feed his family not for trophies not that he dosent have a couple on the wall.

But two with one shot what luck

Depends on where he was at as to if it was legal or not. I hunt in East NC and you can take two deer a day. I killed two with one shot using a shotgun and buck shot running deer with dogs once. My buddy and done it a few times. He did kill two with a rifle once and dropped them both just like in the video. He was using a 7mm STW and a 140 Nosler partition bullet.

I don't think that is an ethical shot. Unless you got a big caliber, there is no way to know what is gonna happen to that second deer. I can't say I wouldn't be tempted, but unethical shots are often tempting. You just don't take em.

I agree. It was an unethical shot. There was no way he could predict what would happen to the second deer. He is very lucky he did not wound it.

You are right. I have been completely surprised at some of my exit wound locations over the years. Once that boolit hit the animal, there are many things that could change it's path.

Agreed - it makes for a fun video to watch and its a good parlor trick to tell his friends about at the bar later, but it was not a shot that the hunter should have taken. Those deer weren't in a hurry to go anywhere and it looked like he had plenty of time to wait for them to separate.

It might be perfectly legal in his State and he might have had the tags for it, but I can promise you that no self-respecting wildlife officer would pat him on the back for such a 'cool shot'.
