Looks good, I have heard though that it is just another version of Gladiator.

I have never been a huge fan of Robin Hood. That said, I saw the preview when I saw Green Zone, and thought it looked okay.

With Russell Crowe, it could go either way, though. He is one of those actors that I have a hard time watching onscreen because I think so little of him offscreen.

He's come a long way since "Romper Stomper." His music does suck, however.

Why? What has he done that I've missed?

What has he done that Mel Gibson hasn't "one-upped" him at? :D

Is he crazier than Tom Cruise? ( I can't see how he could be. )

Personally, I'm hoping this movie is at least as good as ( preferably better than ) Kevin Costner's version.

Man, in these political times here in the US, where marxist principles are so highly lauded, I have a hard time wanting to see anything that promotes such an ideology.

Yah, I probably just need to chill...

I just don't see Russell Crowe being the right actor to be Robin Hood. I don't think he'll quite pull it off.

hmm. Not a very good English accent for the age the film is made.

Meh. He is overrated as an actor. But then, so are most all "action film" actors.

Prolly wont go see it.

I think Costner had ZERO English accent in his.

yeah, those guys are on my list too. I want to be entertained when I go to a movie. Increasingly, some actors are making it hard to do that without thinking what jerks they are off the screen. I've liked some of each of their work. I'll probably see robin hood. I just hope I'm not disappointed.

Find a second run theatre.

Truthfully, I'll probably wait for netflix.

It's really a shame all of the dollar theaters around here have closed. I used to love to go on a Sunday afternoon and see two or three movies. Does Memphis or Knoxville still have them?

Memphis does for $2.50 in Bartlett.

there is a dollar movie place in knoxville, next to big lots. I'm thinking this movie will be perfect for that. Everyone makes a Robin Hood movie but no one gets it right because what Robin Hood is already exists in your mind. Movies can't live up to imagination.

I thought it looked pretty good.

Saw the preview this morning. Didn't seem to be bad.

Better than this:

Just saw a commercial for it, saying it's getting "rave" reviews and "go see it." This is SOP for a film company when a movie isn't doing as well as they hoped.

Loved that movie.

As far as the new one, I'll rush out (to my mailbox) and watch it right away (whenever Netflix sends it to me and I take the time to watch it)...
