Hiking mountains carrying somebody ELSE's 240-B in addition to all your gear is fun too! :)

. . . And I will forever stand by the fact that there is absolutely NO good reason to jump out of a perfectly good airplane!

Well, google has gleaned to me that this must mean that jumping out of a great big plane with a great big machine gun is not that pleasant.

I agree!

Jumping crew-served is a major PITA!

(are you still on status?)

Yeah I just jumped last night. I will be making five more jumps in the next six days. Including a water jump.

Crap guys, you know even the M9 if it gets wiggled up behind you when you do the sack of crap, er.....PLF can beat the crap out of you and leave a mark.

My worst was jumping in the tac sat and extra batteries into Honduras back in the late 80s. No wind and I didn't slip, landed right on top of it, feet, back, head, head, head.

"Someone wanna hump this crap off the DZ for me while I put my brains back in?"

Keep em together you guys still on status!

Hey... glad you're here! This is your chance to tell these guys how wasted their efforts are!

You guys carry those things? When I was in, we mounted those on the tank and the gunner had control!!!

One more down, C-130 ramp.

We jump the 240S because the aircraft I work with use 7.62 in their guns so we have plenty of ammo for them.

It's good to see some fellow paratroopers on here!

it might suck, but it sounds like fun too. Remember it is not the fall that is the problem it is the sudden stop.

Thanks for what you do.

What sucks in the old days was being the stick's Medic. We carried a .45 plus normal load and that big ass M5 aid bag. Then everbody states give some more to "Doc", end up with belts for the 60, extra frags, shells for the blooper, batteries for the radioman and the rest of the sticks sanitary napkins.

S***t on a bunch of paratroopers. I quit.:D

I see no reason to jump out of a perfcetly good airplane.

Of course I'm one that sees no use in getting in a perfectly good airplane either.

Well I do get paid extra for it...

But of course I do it because I love it!
