I have to say I have been following Tactical Response for some time (I have some LE family who swear by him). I saw his generous offer at the start of this forum for the free class (sadly I saw it after the fact).

I thought this was a great idea, and while my classes are not the advanced level courses Yeager offers, I do have an offer in the same spirit of cooperation.

Any members of this forum (or their family) who need a Handgun permit in 2007 may take my Handgun Permit Class for $20.00

Just sign up at www.tngun.com

Wow, that's a deal if all they pay is $20!

BTW, I like that you quote Karl von Clausewitz on the site. My favorite of the seven classics on strategy and tactics.

David, where are you? I live in the tricities area and I want to get my girlfriend to take the cc course as she's a nurse and frequently works the night shift.

I'd just feel better if she carried anyhow, as I'm frequently out of state working.

We offer it every second Saturday at the indoor shooting academy (Asherbranner's Pawnshop) in Gallatin TN, and every third Sunday (weather permitting) at the outdoor range at the Army National Guard outoor range located in Smyrna, TN.

The cost fir the class is $85.00. That fee includes your printed material, target, and range. There are no additional fees for the class.

Sorry I didn't respond to the questions sooner, I work nights

The offer is good all this year, and I generally give the class the second saturday in Gallatin at Asherbranner's pawnshop (right off the court square).

I am in the process of scheduling the third weekend at the national guard base in Smyrna.

To find my schedule go to the events link at the top of the website (tngun.com)

If you register you can order online, You can also download free targets, weapon manuals, and some firearms software.

Thanks David, that is a heck of a deal and I am going to take you up on that. My wife is going to get her permit asap and we live in Gallatin. I took the permit class in 2000 at Asherbranner's, did you give the class back then?

How do we need to sign up? Thank You, Charles.

ZZRguy,

All you have to do is call me 1-877-740-6712 or 615-740-1576 and let me know you are coming.

My next class is March 10th but I might have to change it so I can get certified to teach hunter safety classes.

One way or another my class dates are mosted on the website.

I started teaching at Asherbranner's in 2003.

Excellent deal on the TN permit class. Thanks for the offer. Worth the 2hr drive to Gallatin for the cost savings.

I've got a question. Any problems with someone who already has a permit taking the class again? My wife wants to get her permit, but doesn't want to take the class alone (with nobody she knows anyhow).

I don't have a problem with you (or anyone) taking the class again. Like I state on my website, my goal is to pass the information to the student as comfortably as possible, if she would be more comfortable with you there, then by all means I don't mind signing up the extra person....
