When these hit the market, assuming they are US made, I will be getting one. I would probably add a beavertail, comm. hammer, and extended non-ambi thumb safety though.

You might change your mind if you had ever been bitten by a slide, or if you were left-handed.

Well, I'm not left handed, nor have I been slide bit. My hands are not meaty, though; they are pretty slim. I don't have any flesh sticking up in a slides' way when I grip one. But, I understand; if you need those things, you should have them. Me? This looks perfect as is. And, I understand it IS USA made, not an imported frame, etc.

I'm left handed, and have never owned a left hand specific gun. I do like double and over/under shotguns, and Ithaca pumps, as they are all pretty much ambidexterous. So are lever guns. A left hand bolt rifle would be as awkard to me as to any right handed person. I've never had a problem shooting a standard 1911.

Not too sure about those rollmarks.

That's about the biggest turnoff for me. Kinda like the Smith's that had a big "SW1911" taking up most of the side of the slide. Tone the logo down a notch, please.

Then how do you manipulate the manual safety on a standard 1911?

With my thumb. I reach around the grip with my left thumb. It isn't difficult once you get used to it.

Hopefully, you never have to do that in a hurry.
