I personally know the lass and gave her directions here. She is very much a woman but VERY much newly married!

She will have questions and I'm glad she will have the forum here to ask some more in as she is wearing me out at work! Just kidding there MsRogers..keep asking.

She will soon be given her opportunity to try out some pistols so she can begin her entry into the world of shooting and personal defense. I also got her to look at ETS (Franks) HCP class and she is very interested.

Thanks for the welcome everyone (even you reef) lol j/k. I've been looking at a Smith and Wesson Model 60 handgun. I'm looking for a smaller handgun. Any thoughts?

So you like revolvers or is that the first thing that came to mind? Are you wanting to carry the gun or use it as a target gun only?

Have you ever shot a handgun before? The Model 60 is quite beefy.. there are a few smaller models of revolvers but it's easier to tell you about those once we know what you plan on doing with it.

There are also plenty of semi-auto pistols in all sizes and calibers.

As soon as we can arrange the range time, ms.rogers and I will be doing some initial training. She will get to shoot my 642, my wifes Bersa .380 and if she feels like it I'll let her shoot the .40 S&W Taurus and a Kimber .45. I'll also intoduce her to the virulent disease ridden AR 15 as no trip to the range is complete without a mag dump on an AR for me!
