Probably not for awhile...my opinion? Dont wait...get whatever is available. Im not too excited about the Gen 4s. I have a gen 3 26 that I carry everyday almost. LOVE it...and I wouldnt trade it for a Gen 4

I have a Gen 3 G26 on my person right now. The changes for Gen 4 are 1) the smaller grip with inserts to make it med or large and 2) a dual recoil spring setup. Since the subcompacts already have a dual recoil spring, the only advantage I see to the Gen 4 is the smaller grip. How well does the Gen 3 fit your hand? Unless you have really small hands, I probably wouldn't wait on a Gen 4.

Thanks for the info guys. I actually called Glock yesterday and even they didn't have a definitive answer for me! I've been carrying my Gen 3 Glock 19 for about a year now and absolutely love it. I'm betting I'll love the Gen 3 26 that much more.

I'd get an M&P 9c now and have a better interchangeable backstrap design, better ergos and better warranty.

With a Glock 26, you won't need a warranty or interchangeable backstraps because it's made with Glock Perfection. :D:koolaid:
