New guy moving to Tennessee

Hi everybody! I found this site from a link on OpenCarry.com and since I am moving to the great state of Tennessee I thought it would be a great board to be a part of.

I am from the state of Nevada and am moving due to a job layoff. Have family around Nashville and I, quite frankly, fell in love with the place during my previous visits.

Looking forward to becoming a Tennessean

Rob

Welcome!:D

I won't make the same mistake Lot's wife did. I am quite happy to get out of Vegas...been here almost 21 years...ready to live in God's country!

Welcome. What part/city are you moving to?

Well I have family in Murfreesboro and Pleasant View (the one between Nashville and Clarksville) so somewhere around there. I want to attend a church in Joelton, so probably I'll look somewhere close to that.

Well then. Welcome from West Nashville, roughly 20-30mins from Pleasant View.

Hey NY7V: There's a pretty good gun shop/indoor range right in Joelton that I bought my Glock from and use their range. Check it out or PM me for name of store. Welcome aboard! This is a great group to be part of, lots of friendly, helpful folks

Joelton/ Pleasant View is a good area to move to. Good commute to Nashville and the neighbors are spread out a little. It sure isn't Clarksville. Welcome:D

Is Clarksville not good? I would like to live in a rural area. Lived in cities/suburbs all of my life.

I am planning to start a home inspection business and I would like to be able to do jobs from Clarksville to Murfreesboro. Guess I better get used to driving alot!!

It's not that it is necessarily bad. I just miss it being 1/5 the size. I'd rather be in the country. I've lived here most of my life. If the mortgage market is as good as mikegideon says, you should be busy.

Well that sounds promising...I hope I can be busy. I was just laid off from the City of North Las Vegas ( I was a Building Inspector ) and I thought this is my oportunity to escape from Vegas. I have always been jealous of my family members who lived in TN as I feel their quality of life was far superior to mine in Southern Nevada. I am sick of the desert and the kind of people that live here.

Welcome from a former Yankee who has now lived in Knoxville, Chattanooga and is now near Nashville! You'll love it here.

My brother and sister-in-law live in Pleasant View (Echo Lane) and I like it out there very much. Also, there is a coffee shop called Cafe Ameno there that has an awesome double espresso!
