Time for Lamar to go

As long as you understand his replacement will not do the same or worse. It's that old

"Be careful what you wish for" thing. Just voting someone out doesn't necessarily fix anything. If you recall, that's how the Republicans got their plate handed to them in '06 and '08. Look what we got stuck with. Then make your mind up. Would Lamar's opponent been an improvement? You can look at records where candidates came from and make your mind up better than just voting one weasel out, to be replaced by a dirtier weasel.

I fully agree. You may want to look at this post for an interesting perspective on Lamar. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/282279-post14.html This post deals with gunowners; but Lamar is a great polititian with allies everywhere. As 6.8AR has so wisely opined; be careful what you decide to do when picking replacements. There are many pretenders out there that campaign as Republicans and govern as Demorats (..or worse...).

Keep up the good work.

I haven't seen that before. You made some points I

honestly forgot about: the construction stuff and that

had to do with Ray Blanton.

It's a shame people want to throw the baby out with

the bath water instead of thinking about how they will

use their vote. At least we are a red state nationally.

That gives me some comfort. Thank you, Leroy.

The only thing you may get to pick is the type of screwing you're gonna get. The depth and girth is gonna be the same, because money controls this country, not the baby kissers. So many on this board believe that if the GOP just gets back into power, it will all turn around. Where did things go when they had "control"? Same direction.

Mike, we were what went wrong. We didn't hold their

feet to the fire. We got comfortable when we should have

been talking to our representatives. Stuff happens. Learn

from mistakes instead of repeating them.

After what Bill Clinton said yesterday, about the Tea Party

potentially threatening this country's security, we might

consider the possibility of being forced into a situation

we didn't ask for. Clinton, by falsely accusing us of

unpatriotic activity, set the stage for all the idiot left

wing radicals to start acting more violently, which really

means to continue. The only evidence to date of any

violence has been by the left, unless you believe the

nonsense reported by the MSM. If that isn't troubling,

by itself, add Obama's own words: "bring it on", referring

to the right wanting to challenging the health care bill

in court. I'm sorry but that is a veiled threat to our

safety and liberty, like none I've ever heard.

That other thread about soldiers being used for duties

inside the US may just have been exposed for what it

really is. I guess we'll have to wait and see how

November turns out to really see, won't we.

Say what you wish, but it's getting real dirty, especially

since the left feels threatened by nonviolent dissent.

That just tells me what kind of cowards these people

are. The last I remember dissention that went wrong

was caused by the left, actually two cases: that nut,

Harvey Milk in San Francisco, which the media tried

to spin out wrong, and the 1968 Chicago riots, both

which were caused by left wing radicals.

Sorry for ranting, but I think this is getting more serious

and may get out of hand for all the wrong reasons.

No, I don't think both sides are perfect, but the left is

showing its hand and it concerns me.

Due diligence will bear me out.
