You know I have been reading your posts and its all good. I wonder how many of you pay attention to what is unfolding in the world. We all talk about our guns and what ever. and thats all cool and stuff. Soon the wolf is coming , are you prepared. We have a number of members here . Is there any talk of being prepared? I hope you people are paying attention to what is unfolding in the world and in our own county. Im not calling WOLF, but stick your heads up and look around, make your own decisions, things are not as reported, and not as read. I hope you all will check it out . just words from an old man.:D

Short answer: somewhat. I don't know if the perfect state of "ready" exists.

I looked for the preparedness forum here, but couldn't find it.

There are many forums on the internet dealing with "preparedness." This is a gun forum. We talk about guns and how to use them, which ones we like, what's new etc. If you want to talk about how to live off the land, that is great but I for one don't want to see this place turn in to a tin foil hat place.

Red Dawn was the Russians coming over the pole to attack Patrick Swazey...or the US.

Red Dawn was a "shelved" war game plan (from what I remember) from the Russians. they figured out that it wouldn't work with all the guns in the states

that's the story I remember at least.

How prepared can you take it. Power outages, civil unrest, goverment collapse, alien invasion...

I can say in the house for around 3 weeks with no outside contact.

Other than that..don't know

Well be a little more detailed about what you are referring to and maybe no one will miss the point. What wolf are you referring to?.....and I believe this world is a long ways away from solidarity, but I will agree with you.

hmmm I'm prepared for all sorts of things...

I'm prepared to go back to work.

I'm prepared to miss my wife when I'm gone working.

I'm prepared to turn someone into toothpaste if they decide to invade my home. (and I'm nicer than my wife...she would keep them alive to work 'em over)..

I'm prepared to trust God for grace when there are things I can't control and I'm prepared to deal with the things I can.

I'm prepared to place my faith in mine and my wifes' abilities to defend myself..and my family.

If you can't be handsome at least you can be handy to have around...that would be my motto..if I had a motto.
