A worthy organization to belong to! Just be sure you don't dig tooo deep. I did and found a yankee ancestor who served in the 144th Indiana. Had folks on both sides. Heh

Yep, joined many moons ago... I've got close to 50 confirmed relatives (g+grandfathers and g+uncles) that served with the Confederates, and one that served with the Union... (But only for a couple of weeks)

All camps are little different, some focus more on history, some politics, some a mix of both. Check out more than one camp, if you can. Join the one that suits you the best.

Sadly...I don't think I have any ancestors that from the SOUTH...mine are border state folk and UNION...I'd bet there were some sympathizers though. I do have proof for Sons of the American Revolution...
