Rep. Johnny Shaw speaks his mind.

At a Democratic rally last evening, Rep. Johnny Shaw, (Charter Member of the Kill the Second Amendment Club, along with Spk. Em. Jimmy Naifeh) said this "We've got people who hate our president as much as I hate George Bush." I somehow got stuck in his Federally Mandated Minority Majority district. I have never received a reply from any letter, phone call, nor e-mail I have sent him in the last 4 years. By his own admission, he is a hater, just what we need.

He also said some Dems deny who they are in Nashville, says he won't during his re-election campaign. Hmmmm! I sure desire (I do not use the word hope anymore, it has changed from what it meant when I was younger, tends to leave a bad taste in the mouth these days) that he keeps flapping his gums along those lines. He has an opponent this year for the first time in a while, and the demographics have changed somewhat in his district.

We will just have to see!

I'd love for one of his constituents to go to a rally and ask 2 questions.

1. "Given the hatred some feel for President Obama, are you concerned they want to do him bodily harm or worse?"

After he launches into a tirade about the rightwing nuts wanting to kill Obama, ask question 2.

2. "You've been quoted as saying "We've got people who hate our president as much as I hate George Bush.". Does this mean you wanted to do bodily harm to George Bush and do you feel the same way about other conservative politicians?"

BTW, I don't believe in wishing physical harm on any POTUS. I think the office deserves better even if the officeholder is a complete peice of trash.

Show him the door. Most Democrats lie about who they are until they get elected.

Don't feel bad. I'm a minority and he won't answer me either. Guy needs to go.
