Im looking for a new carry pistol. I am leaning toward the Glock 30 .45 ACP.

Does anyone have one and how do you like it?

Service, dependable, easy take down, etc.............

I've got one. I carry it too. Love it. Shoots more like a fullsize than a compact. Kind of thick if you wanna carry IWB, but all in all a great gun. Accurate, super reliable (never had a malfunction out of mine period), surprisingly low recoil for its size. As soon as my buddy shot it, he had to have one too. They really are a good gun.

Had one and sold it to my brother, that's his daily carry now.

I prefer the the 19, but that's just me.

I have the G30SF. I like it. Fits the hand very well and I have big hands. It's about what you'd expect from a Glock. Bulky but simple.

What he says, except I carry mine IWB and no problems.

Had a G30SF and loved it. Only sold it to get a black rifle. Takedown is exactly the same as most other Glocks since they use the same design. Shoots great, very accurate and controllable. Ate any kind of ammo I fed it without a single failure (i.e. 230-grain ball, HydraShoks, Gold Dots, Cor-Bons, etc.). My carry load was 200-grain Cor-Bon +P. Glock 30SF loved the stuff, even though my 1911 chokes on it. I highly recommend the Pearce textured mag floorplates for the 10-round mags. The factory ones are smooth plastic but the Pearce plates match the handle texture perfectly. Only thing you need to do is possibly round off the sharp plastic edges a little so the gap between the mag plate and the frame doesn't bite you on reloads or recoil during fire. I had my strong pinky pinched once.....ONCE. Then I sanded them down and it never happened again.

Good luck!

I really liked mine. It shot very well, and handled everything from WWB and Blazer steel cased to hollow points. My only complaint was the increased grip size compared to the normal frame Glocks. Recoil was not bad at all.

Great pistol! Runs great and a nice shooter for its size.

However, for carry it is too bulky for me. I carry IWB when out-and-about. The G30 is just not comfortable. Guess the 1911s got me spoiled. I would consider the G36, but it is not a gun I would like to run 250+ rounds through (maybe not even 100+ come to think of it) and the magazines are specialized.

I could carry G21 mags as back-ups with the G30, and the KRISS will accept the mags also, which is cool; rifle and pistol in same caliber with same mags!

If bulkiness is not a concern, go for it! You won't regret it!! If you are going for concealment though, weight the pros vs. cons and options. It is not that the G30 can't be concealed. Rather, it is not comfortable for me.
