+1 For Bill's Outpost in Maryville

I bought a used beretta from Bill wanting a .22 to shoot with and also wanting a pocket gun for the rare occasions when my G26 is too big to carry. I know a .22LR isn't great but I figure it's better than nothing right? Besides it was an impulse buy since the stainless INOX finish was sweet and it was the first pocket gun that I found good looking. The Beretta had one FTF and FTE after another when I fired it at Gunny's the next day. What would Bill do? He offered to refund my money, or order me anything I wanted even though he thoroughly cleaned the gun and then he couldn't get it to fail. I had lost my faith in it by that time. I ended up getting a brand new Ruger LCP to get the pocket gun category covered. BTW, I actually pocket carry my G26 often, but it just doesn't work with some clothes, and my wife recently called me out for "printing", although I'm convinced no one else notices. Anyway, I wanted to post for great customer service and great prices at Bills. I put 50 rounds of FMJ and 10 rounds of Winchester PDX JHPs through the LCP today without 1 hiccup. I'll probably put a few more through it before I feel comfortable carrying it, but it's nice to know I've got something I can easily stick in my pocket when circumstances don't allow me to carry a real gun. As for a .22, I'm looking into just getting a conversion kit for one of my Glocks.*

*Mods, I wasn't sure where to post this so please move it if there is a more appropriate place.

much better treatment than needed. guns can have issues on break in especially if they havent been cleaned or didnt get enough oil. there is a lot of factors that point to things other than a bad gun.

The gun looked clean. I might have kept it if it was a few FTEs, or FTFs, but after shooting 20 or so rounds it wouldn't cycle correctly even one time. It was a used gun he had taken on trade so who knows what the real issue was????

... When he tested it he used different mags so that may have been it. I don't know but I'm sure he'll figure it out and make sure it is right before he sells it so someone else and it was used anyway so he's not really out anything. I didn't expect a refund, even though he offered one. He was so eager to take care of it that I wanted to use the credit to get something from him. I also appreciate the fact that he offered to order something for me. It just so happened that he just got the LCR, I said "that will work" and that was that. I'm not sure what you meant by "better treatment than needed"; but I do expect a gun to work when I buy it, especially when I buy the ammo at the same time and buy what the shop owner recommends. I didn't expect to be offered all my money back or for him to special order something else for me (which he offered). I hope his customer service will serve him well in the long run. I'm spreading the word about great prices and great service. :poop:

I prefer to support local businesses whenever possible. I've also had good experiences at Ensley's and Gunny's, but I felt compelled to spread the word about Bill's since he has great prices and I have know doubt he'll take care of any problems that should arise.

Another +1 for Bill's Outpost. I bought a recevier from an individual in CA via another forum and he handled the transfer. (Gunny's told me it was illegal  ).

Smooth transaction and while waiting on the TICA to come back, I noticed he's got excellent prices on handguns, Hornady Critical Defense .45 ammo, and he's got that XD .45 Compact I've been wanting for a while.

Its amazing to see that some businesses are still using that thing "Customer Service" to get and keep business... Wished I lived closer to Maryville sounds like a cool place to spend your money.
