Wow I had cold chills when I saw the first Higgins boat. My Grandpa made 4 of the major invasion's during WWII in the Pacific while driving one of these boats I don't have any pics of on the Higgins boat but I do have one of him and his buddies on one of the bigger boats. I alway do get chills when looking at pics with Higgins boats in the Pacific just because I know there is a chance although small he might be in one of those pics.

Awesome! I can't even imagine what those guys had to go through. At least they didn't have to put up with the liberal media like our soldiers have had to do for the last 40 years. When they came home they were regarded as heros not spit at and ridiculed.

Great post. Great photos. One can only imagine the story for each one. I'm truly moved by the bravery of the men who served during this time and now, who serve because they believe that they are fighting for what is right. During the course of mankind, we've seen so much more tyranny than freedom, that it has to appeal to everyone of us that we were doing the right thing. God bless these men and the freedom for which they fought. The freedom of life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness. Do what's right, live by common sense, and know when someone's trying to screw you out of it.
