:tinfoil:What if you're away and come home to a home that was destroyed by a storm and people were looting your stuff when you pulled up - could you hold them at gun point until the law showed up? Pretty sure this isn't the right forum but I'm sure someone will change it.:D

What about the Castle Doctrine? If it is your property, don't you have a right to protect it?

If the storm was bad enough to destroy my home to the point people would be okay with looting it, I'd say we have more problems than worrying about the flatscreen.

For most of my stuff I'm like everyone else, and would let them have it. I have a few things that have sentimental value though, and whoever might have one of those items in their hand would be shot on site, and I would take the jail sentence. Since the majority of the population wouldn't have a clue what these items would be, their best bet for their own safety would be to stay off of my property until I arrive.
