I'd forget most things if it weren't for my desk size calendar posted on my front door. This meet is LONNNNGGGGGGG overdue. Why would ya wanna miss it?

I don't want to. But lately, I forget alot of things. Now that I am subscribed to this thread though, I should remember.

I'll remind you, Byrd.

[Thread hijack] Do you still want to talk about AR stuff? [/Thread hijack]

Just printed out a few copies of the target for the shooting contest, looking forward to it . . . I'm so out of practice with a pistol it will be hilarious to watch me. If I could compete with an M-16 I'd feel more confident!

The 24th is my son's Birthday and we asked him what he wanted to do that day. (Thinking this would kill my chances to be there.)

He said he wanted to go to Range USA and shoot! It looks like we'll be doing the family thing at the meet!

It'll be me, the wife and the boys. The daughter unit still hasn't taken to shooting yet.

Ridonculous, but true. Memphis Arfcom crew just had a great training day there. Not sure if I will make the TGO gathering next weekend, but i will try to stop in at least.

About 15 of us took a private Self Defense Handgun class at RUSA with Chip Holland. We shot around 500 rounds in about 6 hrs. Chip ran us thru many different drills and there was a lot of discussion about scenarios and such. Almost the entire class time was in the range. We had the big range to ourselves all day. RUSA treated us very good. I can't say enough how good this class was. There are some pics here: Range USA | Facebook

The SDHG class requires that you atleast have taken the permit class. SDHG class qualifies you to take other SSS (Street Survival School) trainging classes. I would suggest taking the SDHG, then you could join us in the other classes. Maybe some of the TGO guys could take the class as a group. Talk to Chip about a private class.

We can talk more Sat. I will be there for a while.

On my calendar. Going to try to make it. Might have a few kids with me. Got one basketball game (I'm coaching) at 4pm. The 2nd game, my daughters competitive team, is tbd. So it will be a last minute thing for me.

Son of a b....well anyway, my sons basketball game got rescheduled to 1pm. Its the last game and I'm one of the coach's, guess I can't skip it! Depending on when my daughters game is, I might still come by.

I took the sdhg class from Chip last june. Chip is good people and fun to be around. I think we fired almost 800 rounds that day. There were only three of us in the class. The next time you guys plan a carbine class send me a pm. I wanted to take the feb carbine class, but they did not have enought people sign up. Sounds like good training and fun.

That must be @ the T1G facilities outside of Crawfordsville, AR. The AAC silencer shoot will be held there in Oct. I would love to get a look at the facilities as they look pretty interesting from the aerial maps.

I've spent some time at T1G in the past when they were Olive Group and two friends of mine are part time employees over there. The facility is fantastic. I can't wait for the silencer shoot!

I remember when the Olive Group bought the previous company, I can't for the life of me think of their name, but the guy was from New Zealand, they were building the "city block replica" over in Arkansas. I dealt with them at a different job, there Mississippi location, they were my favorite customer to go see even if they really didn't help me much!:hiding:

I have got a couple of email replies from Ronin Combat Strategies today and i visited their web site. They seem to have it together and they arent to expensive.

RCS are in Crawfordsville. But i thought T1G was real expensive. T1G has a seperate web site. I am not sure if they are the same, they may be.

Ronin Combat Strategies is run by a few members of the Memphis and Shelby County SWAT team. They use T1G and other facilities to host their training events.

From word of mouth the classes offer high quality instruction at a very reasonable price.
