I may stir up a hornets nest

I know I will probably stir up a hornets nest, but here goes. Who here watches Glenn Beck? I have become an avid watcher. I know his style puts some people off, but his depth of research about what is happenong to our country is second to none. He uses peoples own words to prove his point. Very few others are covering the truth about the history of Obama and the people he is surrounding himself with

The #1 visitor to the WH is Andy Stern. 60's radical, president of SEIU and self avowed enemy of capitalism.

The former Green Jobs Czar, Van Jones, a self avowed Communist that said we must rid ourselves of capitalism

Regulatory Czar Cass Sundstein-believes that animals ought to be able to bring suit against humans and has called for a ban on all hunting.

Anita Dunn was the white house Communications director and loves Mao Tse Tung

I'll stop now, but there are plenty more. I don't think I would have known a lot of these things without watching Beck

If you have never watched him, give it a try. It will open your eyes.

Let the flaming begin.

I'm not gonna flame you because I'm sure others will. When it comes to facts and research no one can knock Beck. I just can't stand his theatrics and drama. This is a personal thing I know. It certainly does not bother me if someone loves his show. I tune in from time to time, but I change the channel when he starts with the drama. I can't stand to see a grown man cry on national TV. I kind of think he plays up the fear and paranoia card a little much as well. He did a great job on the whole ACORN story though.

GB's research is always spot-on, AFAIK.

Like many, I'd prefer a little lower level of theatrics and histrionics, but then again, that's his drawing card, so can't knock it.

He gets a LOL from me now and then, something I can't say I get from most any other political commentator 'cept Dennis Miller.

Yeah, I watch Beck when I can break away from other activities. Bad time slot for me to be a daily watcher. He does get a bit over dramatic but I do believe he presents facts and subjects that many other sources are afraid to touch.

If you could combine Beck's nose for stuff, his research staffs tenacity and John Stossel's presentation style, attitude and general debating skills.

The Obama Admin would have an extremely serious foe in the Conservative media.

1st- He doesn't do his own research.

2nd- He cries entirely too often.

3rd- He used to work for CNN and did their political thing, now Fox's.

4th- He's a Mormon.

It's all for the money, he wouldn't do it if unintelligent people didn't support him.

For the record, I like GB a bit, but that Jon Stewart spoof is pretty hilarious.

I was listening to him on the drive in, and catching a few minutes of his show in the evening. He is intelligent (despite the Mormon thing), does his homework, and is very knowledgeable about history and the Constitution.

The problem is, he was pointing out all these alarming, horrible, despicable things going on with our government/society and no one was doing anything. No body really cared. Some even call him a quack! It was to the point I was ready to fight the first pro-left anything I saw! Now, I can't stomach to listen to him because he is right-on and I hate what is happening. I mean, SOCIALISM! COME ON!!!!...For sometime now, watchdogs have been barking. I can't take anymore. It's time to nut-up, or shut-up. I'm ready.

Wow, I think #4 could have been left out. Here's why Mitt Romney is not gonna happen.

As far as GB...I like the message, just not the messenger.

Well, at least you didn't call the people who are fans of his show racists. Nice show of liberal tolerance with the religious intolerance by the way.:D

1. His research is very in depth. Seems obvious it is not done by one person

2. Haven't seen him cry much lately, but I sometimes cry too. It's called feelings.

3. I used to be a Democrat. Voted for Jimmy Carter once. Some people get smarter as they get older

4. I'm a Presbyterian. Some of my friends are Baptists, Catholics, and Episcopalians. What's your point?

I guess all the smart people support Obama

Never seen the show, but enjoyed reading "Glenn Becks Common Sense"

Try "Arguing with Idiots"

I guess I just fail to see what being a Mormon has to do with being able to reasonably present facts on an informative program.

Or having a staff and "fact checkers".

I wonder how much stuff big O really thinks up all by himself with no support help.

The first test was already shown, the night the teleprompter died and he was a squirrel in the middle lane of an 8 lane interstate...umm, ahh, CHANGE, umm.

I don't see Beck much, wrong time for me as well but catching all the aftershock on other sources quoting or showing him clearly means he's a threat to their talking points.

I watch his program when I spend time with my dad. My dad likes the drama and theatrics from the standpoint that he thinks it's funny, and sometimes it can be pretty funny. As far as I can tell the only blatant inaccuracy I've noticed in his talks is how he talks about the founding fathers being christian. Anyone who's done a significant amount of research on the founding fathers knows they were not christian, and I have no doubt that Beck knows this. I have no doubt that he merely refers to them as such to cater to his audience which everyone knows is right-wing and predominately christian and patriotic. Now, I'm not knocking any of those things, I'm not christian myself but the fact is simple that most right wing patriots are devout christians who think of the founding fathers the same way because their personal patriotism has been tied directly to their religious beliefs. "In God we trust", "One nation under God" and all those whatnots serve to support this. Again, not trying to knock it, just stating the facts.

Faith, Hope and Charity.....most people can identify with those principles within themselves. He comes across to me as a man who greatly supports freedom and ones own responsibility. I believe he makes some good points and supports them with some good, relevant facts---who cares who gathers the information? To me he says in his own words that government is not the solution, but the problem and its that mindset that this country needs to come back too.
