A group of like minded individuals

Recommended Posts

Ok so we have seen what cults, militias, andbeingloners will do for you (Waco,RubyRidge, andHutaree). I just can't see where joining or being involved with any of these would be benificial to your health. At a minimum the gubermant would be watching you if they did not do more. We (the guys at work) have discussed this for a while now and the best thing we can come up with is to have a network of like minded individuals that in a SHTF scenario you could contact. It used to be white, black mexican, indian, middle eastern decent against each other but now I really wonder if it would not be even worse than the war of northern agression because you really will not know who stands where. I was just curious if there were other people that see it the same way or am I getting to deep?

I think a militia/survival group well organized and lead by experienced individuals is a good thing. My opinion is that when folks try to get too big and have websites and the like is where you would run into problems as mentioned above. Keep it fairly small and controlable and certainly low key and by invitation only.

I'm probably just a paranoid SOB, but I think it's best to be in the mindset of doing it all yourself. If some sort of coalition develops after the fact, so be it.

Trust but verify.:tinfoil:

I like the way you think, Raoul...that's kinda how I roll too. FWIW.

I have to agree with the last two posts; less is more in a stressful survival situation. I would keep it limited to myself, and those in my immediate family. (wife & kids period) Groups are prone to conflict.

Yeah now that I think about it the last few posts probably fit my way of thinking better. In a SHTF situation I'm going to protect me and mine first, and might help the rest of the group once I'm assured of my family's safety. I don't need anyone telling me what to do and how to do it when it comes to using MY weapons to defend my family, and personally with my ammo addiction I would definately have a problem sharing my stockpile with others in the group who were less prepared. It would all depend on the situation, because if it were one such as a revolution of some sort instead of a defensive situation then I would have a different take on things.

I can see where ya'll are coming from most of the people that I would be looking for are actually scattered across the country. We work together alot and figure that if it gets bad maybe one of us will be in a better defensive place than the others and the others can migrate to the.
