I'm in Clarksville, TN. Just got my new Barrett 82A1 last week! Trying to find a decent place to fire off a few rounds.

Any info would be appreciated.

there is a 300yard range in manchester, but that would be a bit of a drive from clarksville.

There's a 400 yd range here but no 50 cals allowed.

I havent heard of anything being banned at Terry Waldens place. and I know I have heard of Barretts being shot there for sure.

You might try the Montgomery County Shooting Complex (http://shoottn.org/) it's a great facility and not far from Clarksville...I get up there whenever I can.

I don't know if they do or don't allow 50 calibers so I'd just call or email and ask.

I think Stones River Hunter Education Center allows pretty much anything, but their longest is only 100 yards.

For some time I've wondered why there is only one 1,000 yard range in Tennessee. I mean, I realize there's a butt-load of hills, but I've seen lots of areas outside of Nashville that could do that range.
