Range help

After Marks event is done and over:

I want to set up an out door range for long guns and hand guns for us guys (TGO) to shoot on. I have 100 acres and there are a few places I can get maybe 500 yd shot and a lot 250 yd shots on flat land. Biggest problem is to keep from walking in the best shooting area you will need a 4x4.

Or is 100-200 yards good enough? Then no 4x4 is needed

What will I look at needing?

What kind of target stands do I need to build?

Will I need a gate to close when we start shooting?

Designated parking area?

Benches?

In general I guess I need help in trying to decide how to set this up.

What I have is plenty of lumber.

Machines to dig with if needed.

Machines to mow with

Plenty of land.

It is away from others (homes) and those near by don’t care for the shooting as long as their house or dogs are not used as targets.

The 3 outdoor ranges I have used are not gated at all. But if it will not be open to the public, a gate would probably be a good idea.

Target stands made from metal will last longer. Wood stands will get shot up, rot, and fall apart. Or people can bring there own.
