If you are looking for sight seeing suggestions,

In my opinion, Arlington is the most somber experience to be had. The Smithsonian and Holocaust Museum are both very much were your time as well.

I really am in D.C. for several days, though. Those are great sights to see. I have scoured them all a few times. I was born here, and spent all of the summers of my boyhood here with my grandparents.

I already feel really weird about being disarmed. Had to break down and separate everything long about Fairfax, VA. Locked up in separate areas of my vehicle. My only hope is that the thug gives me about two minutes to get everything back together and follows me back over the Patomac.

This visit does include a couple of cool stops too. One of my uncles is an attorney for the Fed, and handles some higher level issues for some major firearms manufacturers. He's VERY PRO-2A, and has quite a collection his own self...

Another uncle that I will see is a 29-year veteran of the Secret Service. He's been assigned to the White House since Reagan, but recused his post with this administration:cool:. He's not a fan. He was Chief of Detail for VP Cheney for 8 years and speaks very highly of him. To beat all, his wife is an Obama staffer! Weird dinner table banter at that house. He has quite the list of cool stories, but the ones that intrigue me the most are the ones that I know he can't tell me.

Have you evr been to the big NRA headquarters right outside DC, in Fairfax, I think? Ive been by it a hundred times, never stopped tho. If you go, let us know how it is.
