Guest BEARMAN

I had one in the magnum caliber, it was made back in the 90's, but don't know exactly when Marlin began making them,or when they stopped.

Great little shooter's though.

The trigger is a little rough IMO, but it just may need more trigger time to smooth it up some.

Congrats on a great purchase!

My book says the following:

Marlin 25N: A Marlin promotional model. Bolt action rifle chambered for the .22 LR only. Seven shot clip magazine* with a 22" MicroGroove barrel. Receiver grooved for scope mount. Walnut finished birch stock. Gun weighs 5.5 lbs.

*That is a direct quote from the book regarding the seven shot 'clip magazine', not me. :death:

The book lists a model 25NC, which is the same gun, only in Mossy Oak camo. It says it was introduced in 2000. Nothing about when the 25N was first made.

It has been, it looks new. Found a Tasco 4x20 scope for 9.99 and free shipping at GM online store. Probably cheaper than a rear sight and I would have to drive 40+ miles round trip just to get thoses. What do you think?
