BTW... I have a .270 sporter rifle. It's a sweet round. Necked down 30-06, so it's a little faster, and a little flatter.

Now there's brass you don't pick up at the range!!!

I call it my pumpkin ball gun. I'd scope it, but I don't think anyone makes a 1x1x90. perhaps the only gun I own that I can fire, walk down range and catch the bullet with a wet towel.

I recommend everyone own at least one pumpkin ball gun. It makes the rest of them look so spectacular.

Just thought I'd post an update on my new rig. Got the low rings in the mail today and got them on. The Warne low rings fit perfectly and looks much better as well. The scope is sitting where it should be now. I've got just under 3/32" without the cover and just under 1/16"with the cover. Couldn't ask for better!
