Attempted burglary - kidnapping.

A friend texted me to go check this post he made on another board I frequent.

just got a phone call from my mom... she was almost attacked yesterday by a guy that was hiding in my parents backyard after getting walked in on during their burglary. someone saw the guy creeping up behind her and screamed, and about that time my dad walks up.... he JUST got his carry permit and his pistol..... luckily he didn't have to use it, but when he took it out, dude ran... the whole neighborhood was communicating after the robbery, and the guys couldn't get back to their car because the cops had it...... wow.

edit: he was armed... theory was that he was going to hold her hostage and make her drive them off, since they couldn't get to their car...
