If you haven't read this book, it's a keeper. A real tragic story about the Civil War and one man's fight. He wasn't a soldier and didn't want anything to do with the war, but was forced into it. Good story about a sniper and well documented. I've been to Ft. Donelson many times

but didn't know about Hinson. Author did a good job writing it. I knew almost everywhere that man went since I've been all over that area. I almost bought a piece of land looking over at his ridge where he did his sniping and had no clue about it. Enjoyable
